Welcome to the USS Asgard, a proud member of Obsidian Fleet!

This is the USS Asgard, a Norway class ship set up to survey and explore the many space anomalies in and along the Federations many borders. Currently The Asgard is assigned to the Phendara Drifts to take samples and readings of the composition of the drifts. On her last outing the ship was hammered by Breen Raiders who have recently become more active in the sector. So now with a new Commander, a new crew and repairs completed the Asgard is returning. Not a ship of war by any means she does have teeth and a dedicated crew. Starfleet Command does not want a war so the Asgard has the added duty of finding out why the Breen are so interested in this area. The Norway is basically equal to a Breen frigate, but they seldom travel alone and the Norway class would have no choice but to run from a pack of them! So finding out why the Breen are here is not going to be an easy task.

Welcome to Adventure, to take the chance to risk it all. Winning is the only option as losing means a cold death. The Asgard is one of the most comfortable berths in the Fleet with spacious rooms and accommodations for even the lowest ranks. Live well and enjoy life as it may be short!!

» where we are next!! 14-23 july

Posted on Sun Jun 2nd, 2013 @ 5:42pm by Captain Raymond Wulfe in General News

Hello, what I am planning on here is to use a base title for each substory and work in ten day blocks so no group gets to far apart from any of the others. So unless I hear a clamor of nays we will proceed thus. the idea is say Science is on day 9 in a village and summons the ship? Cool we want interaction from all groups. However the ship is in the middle of an impulse engine repair on day3. So they have to wait to respond to science till they get to day 9. If science was on day 30 well that is an obvious problem for interacting with another group so far behind in the timeframe. 10 days means no group has to jump to far to catch up, at least in my opinion. The fater groups can get into more detail and not get bored!

Since this mission is basically several subplots I feel this is the best way to exchange people between groups and still have all be able to get into their part as deeply as they like.

Science: This is Tuk's team; Tuk, Soren, Zelene, Serran, Clayton, Gover (last 3 are wulfe) Is in a village with crop problems for now

Hospital: This is Amar, Eli, Cehn (wulfe) After the banquet will be a asked to help with a rash of like a radiation sickness or something?

Education: This is D'Treis, Loydd, Luke (I am Luke, anyone can take CM Ariel Loydd of Security) after the banquet will offer to show the school system and some history to help for background on the planet

Power: This is Harper, Torchwood, Clark, Toban, Jones (last 3 are wulfe) at the power plant and going over the equipment there, check according to the info harper has, any modifications ?? or weaknesses developed??

Garden: This is Marlyna, Smith and will break off from Education middle of the first 10-day period She is summoned to meet her Chef and visit the chef's gardens, is a good possible source of intel?

Ship: General for everything else? Wulfe, Tyrell, Berges, about everyone else We are high orbit move away to a safe distance morning 15 july
Also

Peregrine: This is mainly Berges, Silk, with Gavar, Talon, Sakura, wulfe making regular appearances, this is an ongoing project to be finished when we leave the bubble? Maybe LOL 14-23 July hook up engines and aviation electronics, begin work on weapons

So I do a post as Wulfe on the bridge? Would be titled

Ship: Time to move out of range
orbit
15 July 2389

First 10-day will be 14-23 July.Any questions just let me know.

Hello again as I have mentioned before the Fleet gives out monthly awards. We have been noticed again for April, winning a Bronze. I give all the credit to you as the crew. I do horrible monthly reports, our crew size keeps stable but we gain and lose almost the same day!! This ship has the best group of writers in the fleet. You all take pride and write good coherent stories. I thank you all for putting up with me.

The only downside is May will be our most proficient month ever and we will not be eligible for an award, as you can not win back to back months. I am truly looking forward to what we are about to begin. The mission is basically four subsets and each one has great potential! So congratulations to each of you, thank you for making the Asgard what it is.

Posted on Thu May 16th, 2013 @ 2:12am by Captain Raymond Wulfe in General News

Hey everyone I just wanted to clarify something about the Drifts. They are a Nebula/Anomaly and not alive or an entity or anything like that. I try to describe them as living to make them feel more sinister, awesome, powerful. So they pulse with energy and they seem to be angry and all that. I am trying to create an image for it to appear like the most terrifying storm and you all are doing a super job helping create the image. We have had a lot of changeover among the crew and I forget that sometimes. Many things were left for this mission to develop as I have spoken with many of you about.

The violence of the drifts was the main focus of the first mission here, to make just being here feel like life was endangered. This crew will have the chance to develop Mithradium and I am greatly looking forward to this mission. So please bear with me if I ask for continuity at times. I will be protecting what you do this mission with the same vigor. I really am looking forward to what we do with Mithradium! As I hope all of you are.

Thanks
Raymond of the Asgard

I was asked to pass this Fleet wide Survey on, I took it is quick and relatively painless. You are asked to rate the fleet, task force, task group, and ship. You do not have to give out your personal information and my take on that was you only need to do so if you want to hear back from the fleet. So it is up to you. Now then just so you don't have to search the site lol (ours or the fleets!) We are in Task force 72 and it is under the command of Vice-Admiral Thelek Uvar. We are in task group 72C *White Tigers* under the command of Commodore Amara Mackenzie Damian. Contact for both is on the TaskForce page, http://tf72.obsidianfleet.net/tf72-command-staff. That might be cheating a bit lol but hey it is not graded!! If you want take the Survey, more opinions means a better view of things as a whole. Do not worry, just be honest, you only need to know what you want to know lol, and if you need anything I would get the information to you as quickly as possible. Even if you wanted to lynch me!! Anyway now ya'll know!

---here is the message and the link--
Here's some information from Joint Fleet Command that they'd like passed onto CO's and other members of the fleet:

The Joint Fleet Command have commissioned a fleet-wide survey for all members to take part.

The survey will run for 4 weeks and is open to any member of Obsidian Fleet to take part and give their honest and constructive feedback. The responses are anonymous with the option to leave contact details to have a member of the JFC contact you to discuss your feedback in more depth.

We ask that TFCOs, TGCOs and COs cascade this to their players and encourage everyone to take part.

To take part in the survey please click the following link;
